Tungsten stick-out when TIG welding is kind of a black magic art form and most of you have probably been doing the same thing, which is eyeballing the stick-out.  Being able to accurately determine tungsten stick-out in 1/16” increments will make your welds more consistent.  Go up or down in sizes accurately to get the best weld, consistently.  If you like the way you just laid down a bead, it's nice to know exactly where your stick-out was.
This block is made from 6061 aluminum, which is soft enough not to damage your tungsten tips.  It will fit tungsten tips up to ⅛ inch diameter, and as you can see you can set the depth in 1/16” increments from a number 4 cup to a number 12 cup.
