    Description

    This patented Francespar HandyLock Backstay Adjuster uses a simple but
    highly effective way of adjusting the backstay on sailboats.
    It uses two folding handles to readily accomplish this task.
    Each handle may be readily opened from a locked position to adjust the backstay
    The top handle is used to keep the backstay from twisting/turning.
    The bottom handle is then used to tighten or loosen the backstay by turning the turnbuckle like assembly.
    Once the backstay has been appropriately tightened or loosened, closing the bottom handle locks the adjustment firmly into place.
    This HandyLock backstay adjuster is currently used as standard equipment on many European sailboats.
